Join me for a day in Kyoto that blends serenity, beauty, and tradition. We’ll start at Shimogamo Shrine, a peaceful forest sanctuary and one of Kyoto’s oldest Shinto sites, before visiting the golden brilliance of Kinkaku-ji shimmering over its pond. After lunch, we’ll explore Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, loved for its academic blessings and bustling flea market on the 25th. To finish, we’ll stroll through a historic geisha district, where I’ll share stories of Kyoto’s geiko and maiko and the traditions that still shape the city today.
