Join me for a special evening tour that showcases some of Kyoto’s most iconic sights after the crowds have thinned out. We’ll begin in Arashiyama, where twilight casts a golden glow over the famous Togetsukyo Bridge and Hozugawa River. We will hike up to a a scenic viewpoint, enjoy the soft, sunset light filtering through the bamboo grove, and wind through the illuminated textile pillars of a Kimono Forest. Next, we’ll head to Fushimi Inari Taisha, wandering through its thousand red torii gates, lit only by lanterns. It’s a completely different atmosphere to the morning or the daytime — a little spookier, matching the energy of its Inari guardians. Finally, we’ll return to Kyoto station for some salty snacking along its ramen street.
